Where are the employee and municipal assets invested?

The current PMRS asset allocation target is 65% of assets in stocks, 20% in bonds and 15% in real estate. PMRS uses thirteen different money managers to invest its billion dollar portfolio. Click here for more information about PMRS investments.

What is "excess interest?"

Excess interest is investment earnings on PMRS assets in excess of that required for allocation to regular interest (currently 5.25%), administrative expenses, and to maintain an asset reserve in accordance with a PMRS board-approved formula. Learn more about excess interest.
